I am sure you are aware from media coverage of ongoing transport issues across the UK, due to both increased demand and driver shortage.
Anco is reliant on Parcel Couriers and Pallet Couriers to deliver our products to you and your customers, and whilst most consignments are getting through the system, we are experiencing some delays and some surcharges.
I am writing to inform you that at present we are not able to guarantee our 3 to 5 day delivery promise and have changed our acknowledgments to give an estimated delivery time. Unfortunately, the delays are happening in real-time, and we only get notification when the consignment is in the transport system, or when you, the distributor, chase for delivery updates.
Timed deliveries and next day deliveries are no longer guaranteed by the courier companies and some parcel couriers are putting restrictions on size and weight of goods, this means that some items are having to be sent by pallet couriers which will incur an extra surcharge on certain goods, mainly single items such as one-off shelving bays and one-off benches – parcel couriers are not prioritising ‘ugly’ oversized freight, so they will have to go via pallet freight.
If you have a consignment that must be on site for a specific date or for installation purposes, we are advising you to talk with our sales team, and please not to assume that standard delivery times apply. The only way to guarantee a timed slot will be by a dedicated courier and this carries substantial additional costs. The other option is to order earlier and allow the goods to arrive before planning installation or other activities around the delivery.
